The Jamestown Healthy Lifestyle Coalition was formed in 2003 with the mission of working together to enhance community environments and promote healthy lifestyles. The coalition has representation from many different community stakeholders who all have an interest in promoting and supporting healthy behaviors. Some of these entities include: American Heart Association, Central Valley Health District, Jamestown Hospital, James River YMCA, Jamestown Parks and Rec, Stutsman County Extension, Jamestown Schools, Head Start and Early Head Start. The coalition meets monthly to collaborate on data collection, goal setting, and project development to promote our mission and vision statement.
